Why choose to attend Wendy’s Bridal Wedding Expo?

We have been producing a wedding show for over 40 years. We know the local wedding professionals and bring the best ones to you at the expo. There have been changes in the way people do wedding planning, but the outcome is the same – making this special day your own. We think our expo is the most fun and complete show – even providing a fantastic runway show to see the latest in bridal fashion.

There is so much information online, so why should I attend?

Unlike wedding websites, a wedding expo allows you to experience things firsthand by tasting, touching, and seeing them up close. This opportunity is crucial since you’ll be entrusting a lot of professionals on your big day. The show offers a convenient, no pressure, way to meet and evaluate the pros before making a commitment. Ask questions and interact face to face, this will give you a head start to making a great decision.

Plus, the show is packed with exciting exhibits and a runway fashion show, making it a fun-filled event for you and your entire wedding crew to enjoy.

Who should come with me?

You are welcome to bring anyone you wish to join in the excitement and celebration, brides, grooms, partners and anyone involved in planning the wedding. All couples and their support systems are encouraged to attend and find inspiration. Having trusted opinions can be invaluable when you’re faced with so many choices.

Some couples like to keep it small and only bring the key players to help them plan. Some like to make this an event to celebrate with the whole wedding party, family and others. Either way, or anything in between plan to have fun and learn.

What about children?

We love children, and there is no ticket required for children 10 and under. The aisles can get crowded and sometimes strollers can be a hindrance to other attendees. You want to be able to focus on getting the most out of the show and move freely.

But children might be playing a special part in your wedding and you want to include them in this as well. You know they will enjoy the cake samples and the fashion show! Your day – your decision.

What should I bring?

For the best show experience, we recommend that you plan ahead.

Create a priority list of the things you still need and research the exhibitor list ahead of time, taking note of those you don’t want to miss. This will help you stay focused and avoid skipping over anything important. Color swatches and fabric samples for reference can be helpful.

Address labels with your name, contact information (this is where a special wedding planning email comes in!), and wedding date can save you time. Many exhibitors will be conducting prize drawings, and a preprinted label makes it easy to enter.

A fully charged phone for taking photos of new ideas and the vendor booths that you want to remember. Also handy for note taking.

Bring your planner or other notebook if that is your style.

Wear comfortable shoes, it is a big space to cover, and take it all in.

Will I be able to get some great deals?

Many of the exhibitors at the show will be offering discounts and special offers that are available only at the show. While there’s no pressure to buy on the spot, you might find a deal that is too good to pass up.

Be sure to “opt in” with your email to receive follow up offers.

What questions should we be asking the exhibitors?

Attending a show can streamline your decision-making process by allowing you to explore many different options in a single day. To make your experience a productive one, come prepared with a list of questions that will aid your decision-making process. Start by inquiring about the vendor’s availability on your wedding date. If they’re already booked, you can move on without wasting your time.

Should I buy the tickets in advance?

Most of our attendees order their discounted $10 tickets in advance from our website. Tickets will be available onsite, the day of the show, but they will be $15.

Plus, you’ll save time by arriving pre-registered with your tickets in hand (or on your phone!)

How long should I plan on staying?

If you’re just getting started with your wedding planning, you might want to spend most of the day. Plan to arrive early so you’re first in line when the doors open at 10AM on Saturday or 11AM on Sunday.

If you’re only wrapping up the remaining details, you might need only an hour or two at the show.  If that’s you, consider skipping the first hour to avoid the early rush.

Don’t miss the fashion show! Saturday at noon and 2PM and Sunday at 2PM.

Any other tips?

Don’t forget to bring address stickers and set up your wedding planning email.

Opt-in for email contact (and texting if you are comfortable with that). Check your email frequently as some offers will have expiration dates. All emails should make it easy to unsubscribe or just quit checking that email once the wedding planning is over. But don’t delete it, these contacts come in handy for family portraits and baby showers and other celebrations for your new family.

Use the double bag method. You will be offered bags at several vendor booths. Use one bag to gather the information from vendors that catch your eye at the show. You want to be sure to know the pros that match your vision. Use a different bag for the goodies and other information that you want to look at later. Have one of your bridesmaids help you keep this organized.
